Hairdresser Wannabe

When I was in my highschool era, I used to cut/trim my own hair in layer style. Besides, I have been receiving numerous of compliments for that too. Oh well, a little self-narcissism is allowed I guess (this lass has thick-skin you may say :P), but I was and am certain that those were genuine compliments from my close peers and good friends, some known since kindergarten. Mom and sis had been asking for my ‘service’ for a few numbers of times back then. I was flattered into pieces :) Nevertheless, these days; I no longer able to muster up enough courage to give myself another haircut these days and besides, they no longer wanted to place themselves in the position of a ‘guinea pig’ with my self-claimed new hairstyle too :P

One blue afternoon, after our ritual morning Sabbath service; my brother along with my mom decided to hunt for an electronic haircut kit from the nearby mall. Out of curiosity, I asked ‘who is going to do the haircut for you?’. Mom quipped ‘you’ll be the one bestowed to take up this important task’. My brother then reassured me ‘I have faith in you and I am confident that you could do better than the barber I used to frequent’. Whoa, how flattering! :P That was about 2 months back, but I had no time to blog and claim my two-seconds of fame here :P The outcome wasn't a "whoa" though, nevertheless it was far better than what I have expected *grin*.

Upon touching home, we quickly dismantle the newly acquired haircut kit, whipped up two hand mirrors, wielded the electronic razor in one hand and comb on the other, and hey presto! I was fumbled and panic at the same time secretly feeling very exited too! Lol :) Knowing zero about male’s hairstyle, I just know what we couldn’t be wrong going for the old-school style. So, basically, I did as per requested by my brother. He requested for the side way and rear side to be trimmed short, whilst the top part was simply layered whilst the front hair to be chopped off by a couple of centimeters. Thus far, we already had two sessions of haircut in a span of one month and we are looking forward for our third session soon. So, that spells satisfaction from my 'customer' and at the same time I am a happy bunny :P.

One full year wiser

We were 2 complete strangers in 2 separate locations; fate brought us together and being together with mutual respect and need for each other. I couldn’t thank God enough for granting me such a wonderful soul, someone who’s beyond understanding with ultimate patience who has never complained for taking every effort to make our distance closer. That was how he has convinced me that distance relationship isn’t bad at all since the first day :). We are so different in many ways, and what mattered most is that they have definitely perked up our lives :)

To the boss who is a full year older today, happy birthday Hon and wishing you many more to come :) There is no other way to tell the boss how much he is being loved, not through food, gifts nor words unable to do its justice. Your sacrifices for me are priceless. Every action from me is an understatement of my love for you and I sincerely pray you have many more years filled with good health, love, happiness, successful career and a wonderful companionship.

Featuring my furry friends at home. They have grown by leaps and bounds and were able to decipher instructions a lot better. But, getting more and more mischievous as time goes on. They squabble once in a while and sibling’s rivalries are inevitable yet are still best of friends :) In fact, I have so much to share and I have yet progressed with the remaining posts for previous year. Oh yeah, on my work front, I’d finally mustered up enough courage to take up an 8-6 full time errand into my stride on and exactly on this day, I am half month through my working journey. I am loving my new work place and is still adapting slowly but surely, one thing for sure I'll have to rewind my body clock. Hopefully soon, I’ll be able to catch up with some updates, if I don’t drop dead by 2300hr :).

Graduation: Photoshoot

For my graduation photoshoot, I decided not to engage to any indoor studio photography. Instead, I made my two men, the boss and my brother to volunteer to be the photographer for outdoor photoshoot. Arming with two DSLRs, an external flash, tripod and our compact cameras (which were barely used), we went off to the uni the following morning (271111). Since papa has to work, we split in two different cars after a dim sum affair in the morning with the boss chauffeured us in another car. We have initially planned to stop at every spot around the whole uni’s compound, which sprawled over about 999 acres in area. Started off with the enormous university logo outside the compound, we followed on with the waterfall which was located just on the opposite side. The weather was very sunny, and we were eternally grateful for that despite the sweltering heat else the sight of umbrellas can be seen in all the photos ;P.

Thereafter, we headed to the uni’s libarary, which I can safely claim as one of my favorite spot around the uni :). The boss suggested me to get into the library to have a portrait of mine taken with some real books as background, since I have forego studio photography which are using rack of books in their canvas backdrop. Initially, I was a little apprehensive if we were allowed to do so but later got exited after from assurance from the boss. But, unfortunately it wasn’t open that morning :( Besides, I am not sure myself whether the uni’s library are opened on Sundays though *slap forehead*. So, we just make do with the lockers room, the main entrance into the library as well as the mini garden with foot massage trail with a mini pond surrounded by animal miniatures :).

Next point was the Canselori (i.e Chancellery building), the administration twin tower building. The view from the building and around the building itself were simply breathtaking. There were several spots around the building that visitors will definitely stop by to have their photographs taken :-). Besides, the view from this highest vantage point overlooking the sea was indeed spectacular, with lush greenery around is no doubt an added point. I can safely say that we spent the longest time here :). It was already 2.5 hours through our session the moment we left Chancellery building for my school in SEIT (i.e School of Engineering & Information Technology).

Due to time constraint considering that I have promised my mom's colleague that I would lend and to send over my robe to her by 1300hr, we have decided that SEIT will be our last destination, and giving some other places a miss after I narrowed down my list (i.e Marine Aquarium & Museum, the hostel building and the beach). Besides this is also attributed to tiredness and I am near to melting state with the robe on top of long sleeve woolen shirt. Photography session will never be completed without the mandatory visit to the school I have been attending for the whole 4 years long :). By the end of the day, my brother got sun-burnt while the boss had a backache but nevertheless, we had a fun-filled and really enjoyable day :P.
