Happy Birthday deh-deh!


The boss celebrated his birthday on last 150316. I think I have made it a ‘tradition’ in his family (a big clan of about 16 pax of immediate relatives) for a ‘mandatory’ yet simple cake cutting ceremony on the actual day since we got married. I will usually make a 2 in 1 celebration by including SIL’s name, whose birthday falls on the following day. Hence, we had an early celebration among the three of us with a simple dinner fix at Koi Sushi. Missy was in her good mood but unlike our previous visits, she resisted to sit on the high chair this time as she was facing the moving conveyor belt and demanded to go near to it. We allowed her to choose and pick up one plate of sushi of her preference (she enjoyed the process but not the food) before placing our orders just to keep her occupied. She has a rather steady hand and strong finger grasp. We eventually resorted to video and sticker time to keep her occupied.

On the actual day, we had a mini cake cutting ceremony. This time, I had no time to pre-order any cakes in advance and nothing seemed to tickle my fancy after several visits to the café and coffee houses around the town that morning and eventually resorted to Secret Recipe. Happy birthday to the BIG boss and nothing is nicer than having another birthday for another year is another blessing to us :)
